height 23699 of 23699 on the network. 9 peer(s) connected, 77 in its peer directory; 995 block(s) followed and 825 pulled in by sync since this follower started. Caught up: this follower holds every block any peer has claimed, so every panel below is the whole chain. Genesis 1cf8655125cc1bbb…, producers genesis.
What this follower is, locally
Following 7 seed(s) — their addresses are not published here, for the reason the peer table gives. Its store is held under its own Cerberus lease — no other node’s store is opened, touched or stopped.
Realms
The register every SourceLess node checks a genesis against. A fork may not answer to any of these chain ids: scripts/fork.mjs refuses them by name, because a fork that can be mistaken for one of them by anything that checks an id and not a hash is the failure the register exists to prevent.
The chain this explorer reads
This is Asgard, a realm in the register: its chain id and its genesis hash both match.

Why the hash decides
A chain id is a label a genesis asserts about itself. The genesis hash is the identity: every signature binds it, Praeco and the handshake refuse a peer on another, and a record signed for one chain is refused on every other.
